An Extra Plane Ticket

The surprised and random facial expressions on the picture above, shows an example of how we felt when Sarah announced to us, "WE ARE HAVING A BABY!!!" We went to Tulsa on Friday for Sarah's first doctors visit and ultrasound to confirm her pregnancy. The doc said we can expect little baby Myers to greet the world sometime around January 23. The kids are very excited!  Eden wants to name the baby, Harriet.  She has a Franklin the turtle book where he names his new baby sister, Harriet.  Ephraim wants a baby brother but hasn't him chosen a name yet. I'm (Jacob) with Ephraim on the hopes for a brother.
It's seems that our little grapefruit (my nickname for the baby) is effecting Sarah's sense of smell more than her pregnancy with Eden. I can't count how many times I've heard the word "nauseas" over the past nine weeks. There have been several times where I'll have to take over the meal preparations because the smell is about to make her gag. However, there have been no confirmed cases of morning sickness do to the fact that Sarah HATES to throw up!
All that to say, if it's the Father's will, looks like we will be buying an extra plane ticket to China!

  4. Thanks so much, Amy! We're pretty happy too:>)
Erica, I couldn't even imagine the nausea and all you ladies endure to bring a life into this world! Thank you for the kind words.
Thanks, Keesha! We're just a little excited. So, did you add anything to your ginger tea? I should make some for Sarah. I don't have nausea but I'm personally a big ginger fan. When we went to Kenya two years ago to visit my dad, I discovered an amazing ginger soda called Stony Tangawizi. I haven't been able to find it in the States but it was some good stuff.

    1. Thank you so much, Verla! We got to see the baby again this week. It actually looked like a baby and not a gummy bear!
