The Importance of Leaving with a Full Cup

Last Sunday evening, our precious Heartland held a going away party for us.  They blessed us with suitcases, pepperoni, medicine, deodorant, marshmallows and other necessities and luxuries to take with us to China.  We ate egg rolls and egg drop soup, followed by beautifully decorated cupcakes.

This night was a small example of the many ways they have loved on our family the last two years.

I confess that I initially didn't want to move to this area.  I preferred to stay in more familiar territory close to my family and past fellowship, but He knows what we need better than we do.  I'm so glad He didn't give me what I wanted.  Instead He gave me more than I could ask or imagine.

Our kids developed such deep and good friendships with other kids who were homeschooled.

Heartland has been an oasis of rest and grace for our family.  We are so grateful.  Living at Randall offered consistency for my kids, in that we were still working with university students.  We got to live in the same house for two years.  What a gift.

The picture below was my favorite for the evening.

Giving thanks with a grateful heart tonight.  Thank you Heartland and Randall family for loving us so well.  We have been poured into, so that we may pour out to others.  Lift us up that it would be so, all to Him.

Showers of Blessing:
A place of grace and understanding
More support than we could imagine
The most precious friends for our kids
Showered with gifts and necessities to take back
KPs who taught our kids so much about Him
Charlie Brown plays, sign language, ensemble, homeschool days, pen pals, best friends
